OK folks here we are with some more of these link sites that just annoy me to no end. When I started Swooby’s Best Sites to Watch Movies I knew that there were some shifty characters out there that people needed to hear about.
I also knew that a lot of these sites were on other bloggers top ten or twenty five lists. So the more I look at them the less I understand why.
How can you put a link site that tries to hit you with malware, spy ware & who knows what else on any kind of list that is in itself a recommendation to your readers? Now and again I may find a link site that isn’t so bad but I wouldn’t tell anyone that they should go and check it out.
I get annoyed with these sites so you have to excuse me. Let me get a glass of wine so I can finish my work :-)
freemovieaddict.com – From my experience with this site they seem to rely heavily on mplayer, sockshare and tubeshare to view the content. They do offer an impressive library of movies which leaves one wrestling with the question of the legality of the site.
I had no trouble with malware or virus’s so it could have been worse. I like the layout of the site, it’s easy to navigate and dark color themes are my style. I write about these sites & you get to decide whether to patronize them or not.
Film.fm – Yet another link site requiring a divX or iLivid download. Only offering movies could be a problem for some people but when they’re free how many of you will complain…lol?
I say this a lot but Film.fm has a very healthy library of movies to choose from. Ranging from the 1950’s to present. I won’t speculate on the legal aspect of the site as I have no idea what it would be.
You can only stream movies on Film.fm no downloading going on here. If you have iLivid and you want to check it out that’s up to you.
Hydronite – Well it’s more like wasteurnite… another link site that claims to have free movies.Any movie I tried to watch I needed to start a free trial to watch it. Doesn’t free trial mean a period of free service before I have to start paying for that service? What does this mean, maybe it speaks to the site being legal?
Solarmovie.eu – A very simple to use site with a great selection of movies. You will get the normal amount of re-directs to download software or signup for another site to watch a movie but nothing out of the ordinary. Didn’t get hit with any kind of virus or malware on this one. I’m glad, Norton Internet Security is gonna start charging me extra if they have to keep working so hard to protect my computer…lol
2.zmovie.tv – Tried to watch a few different movies and got my Norton Antivirus All riled up. It blocked something called a “fake app attack” so in a few simple words stay away from 2.zmovie.tv. I can’t stop at that…it really pisses me off when these sites pull this kind of BS, when any site does it. What will they gain from it? If I go to a site and get hit with malware I will not go back again, don’t these idiots understand that!!!!
OK, I’m out of wine so I have to stop here. I believe we should all be seeing a pattern with these link sites. For the most part they can be a problem for your computer. I say “for the most part” because there are more bad than good in this group.
Remember I still have a list of sites that I haven’t got to yet so trust me most are bad. ~~Swooby~~
